Tam Tam Mandingue USA
Tam Tam Mandingue USA (TTM USA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to fostering interest and participation in traditional West African drumming, dance, and cultural art forms, as well as to preserve and transmit Mandingue musical tradition as a tool to promote tolerance, understanding, and international peace.
TTM USA is the worldwide headquarters of Tam Tam Mandingue International network of schools founded by world-renowned master drummer and teacher Mamady Keita in 1991. Located in San Diego, California, TTM USA is also Mamady's home base. TTM USA is a small organization operated mostly by volunteers and a board of directors.
The TTM Marketplace sells & distributes Mamady's drumming products including his internationally bestselling book My Life for the Djembe, as well as DVD's and CDs, as part of fulfilling the mission of preserving and transmitting Mandingue musical tradition throughout the world. All proceeds from the sales of products through TTM USA help support the organization's operating costs.
